1. Short pass filters are widely used in fluorescence microscope and optical photography imaging. They effectively eliminate unnecessary light sources or excitation light sources, and separate the signals of different fluorescent probes.

2. Short pass filters also play a significant role in machine vision, allowing some visible light to pass through while blocking infrared light, enabling CCD and CMOS sensors to display more realistic images.
