Why there are purple tint on camera image?
One of reason of this color issue often points to an imbalance in ultraviolet (UV) light filtration.
In terms of IR-cut filter usage, the following 4-steps can be employed for analysis and diagnosis:
- Firstly, always check the wavelength passband of current used IR-cut filter. and this initial step is crucial for identifying the root cause.
- Then, If an IR650 filter and notice a purple cast, the problem is typically excessive violet light. thus, camera sensor receives more violet light than it can process correctly.
- To resolve this, recommend replace with an UV650 filter which can effectively blocks more violet light. Consequently, it significantly reduces the purple tint and improves overall color accuracy.
- For even better performance, consider a Blue Glass filter. This material offers superior UV light blocking capabilities. Moreover, it provides exceptional color fidelity and image clarity.
